Delmar, NY – Over the past few years Indian Ledge Records has been cultivating an internal shift in structure and mission while reacting to
the major changes in the music industry. Nick Cosimano remains Chief
Executive Officer of Indian Ledge Records and has been making a strong push to develop the right team with a diverse yet cohesive set of skills.
Cosimano believes the conversations and productions between a seasoned music industry professional, a visually oriented artist, and a technologically savvy musician will truly allow the Indian Ledge Records brand to push itself across various mediums and platforms, and allow our roster of artists to quit their day jobs and do what they were born to do:
create honest music. It has always been the goal of ILR to allow our
family of artists to have access to the resources necessary to produce the music they want, while doing so in a sustainable way for both artist and label.

Our Mission remains: Indian Ledge Records views its artists as the gravitational core of its mission. That mission is to provide each artist with the space, time, and personal dedication required to create and refine the work of art envisioned. Our goal is to nurture the creative drive unique to each artist by giving each artist more direction with his or her projects so the integrity and sustainability of the artist’s vision is ensured. We resist and challenge the idea of molding artists to fit any particular or preordained business model. Instead, we aim to treat each artist as his or her own unique business model, allowing the individuals involved to have the freedom to grow as a creative being and the opportunity to evolve and progress as a musician. The Indian Ledge staff is musician-owned and -operated, working tirelessly to produce high-quality recordings, performances and presentations to ensure peer and industry recognition. With this mindset we hope to turn casual spectators into long-term devotees, building a sturdy, diverse fan base for our artists. This dedication, combined with technological savvy and open-thought innovation, places Indian Ledge Records at the front of the industry shift to recording independence.

With the addition of Bernie Walters as A&R Manager/Publishing Manager Indian Ledge Records intends to expand our musicians reach by placing songs into outlets such as TV shows, commercials, and films. Bernie Walters is a
20+ year veteran of the music industry who has dabbled as photographer,
promoter, record executive, publisher, preservationist and rabid fan.
Bernie has navigated the ins and outs of the music publishing field and remains closely knit with the publishing fabric that has not changed as rapidly as the rest of the recording industry. Bernie is a major asset to Indian Ledge Records. ILR understands the legality and functionality of publishing as a catalyst for expanding artistic reach and cultivating a credible brand.

In addition to the traditional publishing and industry methodology that Bernie possesses, the addition of Nick Reinert as Creative Director will solidify the lasting experience of the Indian Ledge Records brand and its family of artists. Nick Reinert will be collaborating with musicians, photographers, designers, engineers, filmmakers, street teams, social networks and various organizations to challenge the experience of what music and record labels can do and be. One of the major ideas we want to push in the future is the notion of collaboration across platforms among
our community and our peers. We intend to keep the warmth of grassroots
marketing while embracing the speed and far-reaching possibilities of the twitter generation. We believe that listening closely to our musicians’ ideas will allow us partner with the right people to truly support the Indian Ledge Records mission and the creative merit of our artists.
