Welcome to the first edition of the Indian Ledge newsletter! It’s been a long time coming but we have lots of cool stuff in the works over at the ledge. For starters we have been consolidating a lot of old accounts and records so if you feel you are wrongly receiving this email we apologize and hope you will keep the free mp3 to make you happier. Moving on then... Jordan Greenhalgh from The Chase Factory has created this unbelievable video for Alta Mira’s “Slumberjack” track. Let us know what you think and pass it around. I’ve watched it dozens of times and find new stuff everytime I see it.

New Projects

We are super pleased to be working on a project with Penny Shure. Penny is a brilliant pilates instructor and creative mind who is working on an album to promote healthy living, specifically designed for children with osteoperosis. You may not know it, but this disease doesn't just affect the elderly. Learn more here

In addition to the kids album, there will be a CD that features music by Turtlewriting (ILR's own) intended to help you relax and it includes instructional exercises by Penny. This is really a unique project that embraces the healing powers of music. Penny's own devised exercises of "Skeletoner" pilates mixed with the educational, fun, healing power of music is sure to have physical and mental benefits for kids and adults alike. We will also be donating a portion of the proceeds from this project to the National Osteoperosis Foundation. More details coming soon.

Lastly, Alta Mira have been hard at work writing new material. Thats all we are gonna say about that for now. Come out to an upcoming show and you may hear some new tunes!
